Any version of messenger that will run in SP1 isn't allowed to log into windows servers (trust me, I tried everything), so no you can't get messenger to run/work on SP1 anymore HOWEVER, there are programs to replace those ad-infested IMing programs. I own a 865PE Neo2 Platinum Edition at first i installed Win XPSP1 and everything works very good especially the D.O.T. When i enable in the bios setup. My trouble starts when i installed the SP2 of windows XP, my system always hangs up unless i disable the D.O.T. And also i noticed that the bios can not detect my DDR500 but rather DDR333 only and no matter settings i changed in DDR frequency option still can only recognized DDR333. I can not fully utilize the overclocking potentials of this mobo. I think the bios is incompatible with SP2. But when i reverted my system to SP1 everythings are normal and can overclocked automatically when D.O.T.
